A Saybolt viscometer is a device which is used to determine
the viscosity of fluids by making precise measurements. This
precision is obtained by the ability of the Saybolt viscometer to
control the temperature of the fluid being measured.
The viscosity is then calculated by the time elapsed to fill a 60cc
container with the fluid in question. The Saybolt viscometer
uses a unit of measurement known as Saybolt Universal Seconds.
The Saybolt Universal Seconds measurement, otherwise known
as relative viscosity, is the number of seconds required for a fixed
quantity of hydraulic fluid to move through a standard sized orifice
at a constant temperature.
When you need reliable relative viscosity measurement, there is
nothing better in the business than a Saybolt viscometer. There
are a variety of models of Saybolt viscometers to choose from.
Each Saybolt viscometer model is priced accordingly to its level
of accuracy, throughput and automation.
